Mr Lowdown
Thats great news. I got my offroad 1:10 truggy and traxxas slash and my son with his Bandit on the race track near the golf course a few times, you guys should bring your car there, its open for all, no membership required to use the track, the people who built the tracks are really kind to let me and my son to use it. Its a really fun track, and definately,if you guys got a short course truck, its a blast on this track. Also, on the 6th January, there will be a big competition organised by the QRCRG club guys and sponsered by the Qatar Olympic Committee. The truggy qualifying will be tomorrow, but only for 1:8 nitro buggy and truggy. So no electrics for now.
But the good news, is that in between races, they are inviting anyone with their electric offroads to run on the track for 10 - 15 minutes (1:8 scale or smaller - someone wanted to bring the Baja, but its too big for the track). If not mistaken there are two of these sessions. InshaAllah, me and my son will be attending and probably running our cars in the open sessions. I heard there will be tv/video coverage of the races to promote the RC sport. If you guys want to be included in that open session, I can inform the club organisers to put you guys in, bring any electric cars or nitro cars you want. Its more for spectators to see continuous cars being run on the track, while the racers prep their cars for the next heat of the race.
Here's a video of the truggy bashing on the Qatar Golf RC track.
