Ah ok, no worries,

Your buggy was moving nicely... with some suspension and geometry tuning it will run like its on rails!
No, i dont have an RC8, I have a Losi Eight - however it is still back in Australia and it is a brushless conversion, not a Nitro buggy.....

There is a hobby shop down the road from where i live with what looks to be an unused Kyosho Inferno 7.5. They are asking 1950 riyals (with no engine) which is a bit expensive considering the Kyosho 7.5 now is an older buggy than the 777. It does however come with a radio (Futaba).

To complete it i would need to purchase body shell, motor, exhaust and manifold and probably give the whole drive train an overhaul. Plus i need to purchase starting gear..... All up i would need to spend about 3500 qar - im thinking about it.

However to avoid the hassle of waiting for a shipment to come through i may buy it so i can start racing shortly...

I will try to be there on friday provided that i am not working.. Wink

regards

Which Hobby shop you are referring too???

In City center you will find two hobby Shops( Hobby Center & Expo) both shops are selling Buggy, Truggy and Monster Truck, all are RTR version, no hassle its a Ready to run Kit.

As far as I remember, Hyper ST Truggy cost is around QR. 2,200.00, Check out the place before you spend QR. 3,500.00 for a buggy. A friend of mine bought recently I tried it once and I was surprise because it runs well...

My favorite among my RC is a Traxxas Revo 3.3,  I made all possible hop-ups available in the market, so far it dominates so well. My buggy is just my alternate in case I wanted to have something different to run with. I have a Losi Mini-T also but I don't frequently play, its merely for display purpose because its a full mods aluminum Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Got most of the gear together now..... the car i bought was prebuilt, but i stripped it down.. Lucky thing too because the diffes were assembled in correctly and the shocks were only half full of fluid.... Way too much air.

Still need to find a reamer to drill the post and arial holes in the body shell. Have to find some more shock fluid to re-build the shocks
Still need to get fuel
Some better tires and rims. And the bracket from the exhaust to the chassis is missing.... ill have to try and find one of those too..

Ill hopefully start it tonight to run the new engine in....

Brent

Bring your Buggy on Friday, I'll bring the shock oil and reamer Wink Wink Wink

Fuel tubing, Spare Glow Plug and Fuel are available in Speed marine. Just ask them because usually they don't display the Glow Plug on the shelf. Odonnel fuel 20% & 25% are the most common fuel we are using...

Hobby Land have some Novarossi Glow Plug and Fuel tubing as well, although they have Fuel, but its a low Quality one. I suggest You buy the Fuel in Speed marine...

See you on friday... Smiley Smiley Smiley

It was great to have a drive again on Friday. I have not raced for over 3 years so it was fun...

I went to Speed Marine on Saturday however they were not open. Ill go there tonight to get a reemer, fuel, glo plug, and a few different weights of shock oil. Hopefully they will have all of those parts.

Ill also need an exhaust support. I may also remove the pull start and buy a bump starter at some stage. Ill order some Carbon fibre upgrades to take the weight out of it. Its a heavy buggy.

I hope to be there next friday!

Yeah you're right!!!

Speed Marine have all the things you've mentioned, but I'm not so sure if they have  shock oil. In case they don't have just let me know, I can spare you... Try to visit Hobby Land to know what they have that you might require as well...Don't forget to buy Glow Starter and the fuel tubing... Smiley Smiley Smiley

If you remove the Pull start, you need the back cover. Try to ask if they have or else include to your upcoming order... Cheesy

I think later you will require a digital servo and Digital radio. Hitec digital servo is available in Hobby land. Digital Radio like spektrum is available in Expo..

I got most of the things i need last night from Speed Marine. He only had a small amount of 40wt shock fluid... Not sure if that will be heavy enough for the dusty track but i will see. If not, ill put an order in. I also plan on ordering the Carbon fibre upgrade parts to take some weight out of the buggy.

As far as the digi servos go yes they will come later.... I have my partner sending some of my old RC race gear over from Australia. I have in there an Old trusty Hitec Lynx 3D radio that i have had for many years.... Plus i also have some high quality digital servos in there that should also arrive within 2 or 3 weeks.

I started putting the remaing parts together last night. Ill run the engine in on wednesday night, and hope fully be able to make it on friday.

Anyone have a spare cheap bump starter they want to sell??

Excellent to see the organised racing last week fellas!

I think it will be fantastic to get some transponders to automate the system as well. Its gong to be a lot of fun, and there is certainly a lot of interest and spectators as well!!

I with the postage system would hurry up with my buggy radio and new truggy!!!!
