Hello everybody,

Im currently a newbie with RC flying, just recently started my training on the simulator and loving every second of it. Cant wait to fly in real life. I am currently a member in QSC, and Im flying from Dubai to Doha in a week and I'm bringing a Dji Phantom with me that my friend got me from the States. What exactly do I need to do to get it through customs? is my QSC membership enough? Keep in mind that I will be carrying it with me on the plane as carry on not in luggage. Please any kind of information could help. Thank you very much.

Welcome to Doha.

First make sure there is no camera on it. Take out even the Go Pro mount. If customs see a cam on it, kiss your phantom good bye.

To be safe, get a letter from QSC for the DJI and bring it with you. you can contact Mr. Mutaz +974 55201690 mutaz303@yahoo.com to get the letter.

However you will need the original letter with you. I encountered a similar situation with a plane and had to leave the plane at customs until I brought a letter from QSC.

Just be careful no camera. Other then that I am not sure what else would help.
