Hello everyone.  My name is steve.  I just arrived in Qatar a couple weeks ago.  I have been flying Helis for a few Years now and im addicted.  I started with a Blade 400, Then a TREX 450.  I graduated to a 600ESP.  Then i built 2 more 600 ESPs.  I got a TREX 700Nitro and built a 700E conversion (Before the Align 700E was available.) I got a 500esp and a 450 pro.  Then came a trex 600 Nitro.  Then FBL conversions started.  (V-Bar is the best in my opinion) The last Align Heli i built was a 700E.  I went all out on it.  It has a scorpion 4525-520 LE motor. V-Bar, CHP Frames, Radix blades, Outrage HV torq servos and tail servo.  That is the last Align Heli I will ever build.
I took a risk and went with a different Brand.  Mikado Logo 603D.  I will not go back to align.  I now have 2 logos and they are the only helis i care to fly anymore.  Nothing wrong with Align, i just perfer the way the logo flies. I need to get ahold of some 6s batterys for my logo so i can fly it.  I have a lot of experience building and radio setup for those that have questions.  I have set up a couple BeastX units and am quite farmiliar with the V-Bar.  I hope to get some batterys soon and come out and fly whith you all when i can.

Hi Steve!

That reads as though you may be British?!?

I'm fairly new too - 2 months in!  I fly a T-Rex600 NSP - been up to the field at Al Khor a couple of times now - if you like f/wing as well it's great up there - a load of jets and they were more than happy with heli flyers being there too - there was me and another guy.

Have your heli's arrived yet? Batteries seem a bit pricy here - glad I brought mine for my MiniT with me!

Cheers,
Stu

Hi

I'm from the UK & work in the city!

I've been to Hobbyland to buy fuel and they had LiPos there - think there were some 6S but not huge stock.

May be easier to get an Aramex account and order in online if you want large quantities....

Welcome to (RC) Qatar ! Smiley

Were you able to source these lipos ?  And have you started flying ?

If you are still looking, I may be able to let you borrow couple of mine.

Also; I was in 'The Pro' at the weekend (off Salwa Rd) - they seemed to have quite a stock of LiPos!

Hi Guys,

I am also new to the forum here. I have been flying helis for the past 4 months though I have been in to RC much longer. I'm glad to see another Logo owner in Qatar! I have 2 600 3Ds and a 400 3D. If you ever need any parts please let me know.

Where do people fly in Wakra?? I know where the Al Khor field is but never actually went flying there, I usually go to an empty spot behind the college of the north atlantic to fly my bigger birds and the Mini I fly at home.

I'm really tiered of flying alone though, would be great to meet up with some fellow help fanatics!
