what is better Speektrum or Futuba?

It is somewhat a scenario like whether Nissan or Toyota is better.  Minor minor differences between them. These are the two most widely used systems, with huge (satisfied!) user bases.

One small consideration is that if you are into multiple small foamie planes, there are dirt cheap Spektrum compatible recievers, while the Futaba ones are not nearly as cheap. 

Short answer, you cannot go wrong with either. 

The particular model you pick (number of channels etc) is more important (assuming an airplane/heli/multi-rotor user, you should go for at least a 7 channel radio so that you don't outgrow it too soon).

Berth, also consider this. EFlite have some out with some planes with built in 3 axis gyro and panic system, like my Sukhoi SU29 and they bind only with spekturm. Like others have said it is a matter of preference. I think that Spektrum and JR radios are compatible to a certain extent but you better research this
