It is a well known issue with Wakrah, during the cooler months. Fact of the matter is that it is their turf, and we need to respect that. The simplest solution is to drive another 2 to 3 kilometers deeper on the same track/road (in the direction of Mesaieed, towards the new port construction), and fly there. Since there is some uneven ground there, the falcon folks do not usually come there, as it is difficult for them to chase the birds through uneven turf. Even so, having a dedicated person as "look out" really helps. We have survived by doing so far the past 2 or 3 years. When you hear the cars honking, try to land ASAP, and wait around till the falcon activity in your close vicinity subsides. The falcon folks are generally very understanding, and try to accommodate the RC folks. We have witnessed many times when they come and ask us to stop flying for 15 minutes so that they can do their thing, then we can continue for some time, they they are up in the air again, and so on. They get irritated when you are close to their action that the birds tend to chase RC planes, and people are flying non-stop.
Other than Al Khor, there are fields, but they are private ones (accessible only by invitation)

The scientific club at one point said another location between Wakrah and Mesaieed is being approved by the interior ministry, but it seems to still waiting for final approvals.
