Will try to stop by there, and see if we can get some help from some more senior people.

That said, I don't see why a group of truggy folks cannot build a bigger and better track themselves in one of the deserted parts in the outskirts of Doha, with some internal resource pooling.  You are not building anything permanent or doing any damage to the environment in any significant manner, and you are not close to any other structure/humans; so worst case, pack up and leave if there is any official objection ?
