Hello,

I will be coming out to Qatar in May to start a new job. I have been flying RC planes for about 2 years now, mainly electric 3D flying, I have 9 models and hopefully I will be able to get some of them shipped over with me.

I'd like to ask a few questions:-

Does the Qatar scientific club allow storage of aeroplanes there?

Is there any indoor flying of electric foamies?

If I order batteries etc from HobbyKing do the authorities within Qatar have any issues with that?

Do many people import RC models from other countries such as the USA - if so how easy is that?

Welcome to RC and Qatar !

Nope, the QSC does not offer space for storage currently.

No indoor venues that I am aware of. I used to try things out in a school arena using my personal contacts, but even that is too small and no longer accessible. There may be venues that people personally have sought out, but nothing available for public.

We order from HobbyKing all the times, and a lot of batteries. No issues.

Yes, people import from various external sources all the time. The details of that is posted here, just search for the word "customs".
