As a RC hobbyist who got into the hobby not so long ago (around late 1996, doing mostly helis and a bit of foam airplanes), I was surprised at the lack of an online forum for like minded people here in Qatar.  Such forums have proved extremely useful around the world, in connecting people, organizing events, promoting the hobby to new members, buying and selling products, and most importantly, by providing peer support.
