There are several guys flying Phantom 1 & 2 plus drones. Some FPV some not.
I have flown my Phantom 1 there also.
Do you know the way to the field?

There is talk about a new RC field at exit 48 of Al Shamal road. Does anyone have the directions or GPS coordinates to the location?

Hello, I would like to start flying RC. I went to the RC airfield Al Khor twice, both times a Friday, but there was nobody there. What times do people go? I went there around 11am. Is there a time when newbies go?
Thanks

1st of all, there is a RC airfield and Al Khor Airport. Do not go to the wrong one. The RC field is on the left of Al Shamal road as you are heading north.
We have a group flying every Friday morning from 6-7 am on till about 11am. Last Friday some of us were there from 7 till the afternoon.
In the afternoon, more of the locals will arrive to fly their jets and big planes.
For directions to the RC airfield, check the earlier part of this thread which shows a YouTube Video and directions.
If you want message me and we can convoy there in the morning. Meeting place is usually 6am at Hobbyland Al Rayyan.
Chris
