I had to do some recent repair work on one of my planes, I went to Jarir bookstore on Salwa road - go towards the back of the store over to the right (craft section) and they have selection of balsa/ply and dowels of various sizes in a wooden sectioned box.

I saw some carbon rods at "The Pro".  They have balsa/ply too.

Jarir is another source, as already pointed out.

BTW, most people build tricopters out of 450 size heli tail booms Smiley

Hey Anwar
I thought i had seen some materials in there.

I only go there when i have to as its so expensive!

I managed to get some square section Balsa at Jarir but im not sure if its strong enough.

Will check out The Pro as well.

If you have any more ideas please let me know
More specifically i am looking for 10x10 or 12x2mm square section.
and 3mm ply if poss.

I dont want to go the 450 tail boom route i want to keep things even more simple!
Will bring it down to the flying site when its done!
Dont hold your breath though as it could be a while!

Cheers

Thanks Anwar

Yes i was there at the field that day teh Malaysian fellow flew his tricopter.
I thought it was a great experiment but was more interested in my helis at the time.
However since then i have been inspired by the FPV videos from RCexplorer on youtube. They are just amazing

I am basing my design on his tricopter as it seems to work so well.

My Inspiration comes from these videos
